The Big Apple was actually Stop # 1 to go to Presqu’ile Provincial Park or Cobourg Beach. While we did use this location as a rest stop, my family has visited the Big Apple on separate occasions. You can spend about an hour at the Big Apple and you would not know it, as there is lots to do.
Pre-COVID (currently not available):
- Go inside the Big Apple (feature picture) and there are a few things to see and climb up the apple
- Free mini golf
- Petting zoo
- Mini train ride
My 2 Cents:
While the Big Apple is currently operating under COVID province wide lock down measures, they are still making their famous pies onsite. Once you walk in, you cannot help but inhale the freshly baked pies and the the distinct cinnamon smell. Most customers walk out with a few pies in their hands, apple cider and apple strudel. There is also Kawartha Dairy Ice cream in the candy store as well. The scoops are ginormous! Just writing this post, makes my mouth water. This is definitely an interesting place to check out. My girls love this place.
