As a child, my family use to take us to Edward Gardens, multiple times through out the summer. I remember roaming in the spacious open area with my sisters and seeing the beautiful flower gardens. At one point I was even a flower girl in a family wedding and pictures were taken at this park. As we grew older, my family eventually stopped taking us to parks and I have not been for there in over a decade.

My 2 Cents:

This park is a bit of a hidden gem. One just does not think about this as a location to go to, to spend a few hours or even the afternoon. One Saturday, we packed a picnic lunch and went to reacquaint ourselves with Edward Gardens. I have to say, it is not how I remember it to be. The place was booming with families either hiking or biking. There is a nice walking trail where you can see waterfalls along the way. While hiking is not my girls thing, they did enjoy the walk and the waterfall.

Take the time to stop breath, take in the open air and enjoy the serene atmosphere.

Note: Effective July 2019 paid parking was implemented, with the funds going directly to the Toronto Botanical Garden, which is a registered charity.
Accurate as of September 2020, parking cost $2.50 and hour.
