I found that for whatever reason, when you add eyes, yes I said eyes, the food just tastes that much better. So I started adding candy eyes once in a while just to get a reaction from my girls. Sure enough, my picky eaters finish everything on their plates in record time. This dish can easily be used at Thanksgiving, if turkey is not your thing.
INGREDIENTS for 4 servings:
- Kraft Shake and Bake
- Chicken Drumsticks ( 4 or more)
- Candy Eyes (you can get these from Michaels, or Bulk Barn)
- Veggie for the side. I used broccoli
- Pasta or Rice
- Red Pepper for the nose
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Cook the chicken drumsticks as per the box instructions
- Cook the pasta with the sauce of your choice. My girls love alfredo sauce. In particular, we love the Barilla Pasta as it always comes out Al Dente and the Bertolli Brand sauces ( a new discovery for us)
- Cook your veggies
- Plate everything and then add the eyes and cut your pepper to shape it like a nose. You can either try to stand your chicken up, which I couldn’t manage to do or lay it down.
