This year, we have done quite a bit of park hopping. After visiting Lakeview Park in Oshawa, we unanimously agree that this is an AMAZING park. Hands down, it has earned our Best Choice award for 2021.
This park has EVERYTHING. On the one side, there is a sandy beach, complete with lifeguards. If the beach is not your thing or it is too busy, there is a small splash pad to enjoy right beside the picnic table area. Finally if you are more of a land person, next to the splash pad there is an AMAZING playground. The play structures are by far the best that we have seen. This playground has a toddler area and beside it, a tall Rocket ship structure for bigger kids. Additionally, there are 2 zip lines and a climbing apparatus that is fun for all ages.

My 2 Cents
If you are within a half hour drive to this park, then you should definitely explore this park. Once you are there, you can spend a few hours by enjoying a picnic lunch, or alternatively, there is a Pub and Patio. After that, the kids can spend the afternoon at the beach, splash pad or playground. There is also a bike path and waterfront trail that we did not get a chance to explore. My girls had a great time and they ranked it their # 1 park choice.
