If you live in Ontario, there are a lot of parks to explore and discover. Each park is unique with hiking trails, boardwalks and beaches to name a few things. For the nature lovers, there is also bird watching and camping.
2021 Day use fee: $21.00 per vehicle
Summer Vehicle Permit (April 1st, 2021 to Nov 30th, 2021): $84.75 + Convenience fees
For 2021, there is free week day use (Monday – Thursday). This is to encourage people to come out and enjoy the parks and also the help spread out the crowds during the week. Most parks are operating at 50% capacity due to COVID. Once the park reaches capacity, the park is closed for the day, so get there early.

My 2 Cents
Due to COVID and no travelling outside of the province for our family this year, we decided to purchase the park pass to explore Ontario Parks. If we only visited 4 parks, then it would be worth it to pick up the pass as each entrance would cost $21.00. Subsequent to receiving the pass, the Ontario Government announce the free day use Monday – Thursday. They also extend the summer pass to the end of Nov 2022, so another words, we have this summer and next summer to use our pass every day of the week.
If you are a nature lover, beach lover, hiker, then I think picking up the summer pass would make sense as you now have this year and next year. Or if you can take time off work to go Monday – Thursday, then this year is free. I know that my family will be using this pass, so watch out for my park postings.
